Kecia Benvenuto is a native New Yorker who has lived and worked around the world. Passionate about the environment as well as fashion and art, she studied wolves and wild boar in Italy, non-indigenous bird species in Hawaii and primates in Japan; worked at a fashion magazine in Tokyo, a PR firm in Milan, produced TV commercials for Wieden + Kennedy Portland and TBWA Chiat/Day LA and most recently was Director of Art Buying at W+K’s European HQ in Amsterdam for 8 years.
As a curator of contemporary culture and imagery for global branding work and a producer of events, publications, experiences and multi-platform advertising, Kecia has worked for clients such as Nike, Coca-Cola (Silver EPICA winner), Heineken, Escada Perfumes, Siemens, Vodafone, Microsoft, Mont Blanc Perfume and Maybelline. She has also designed her own women’s RTW collection and independently curated various art shows and experiences.
Currently based in Boulder, CO, while raising her two young children, Kecia produces art experiences in NYC and Venice, Italy as a Board Member for the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. She is also founder and CCO of ScramCandy, a line of high-end temporary tattoos for the art and fashion-minded, launching in 2013.
She is a graduate of St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn Heights and Stanford University, with a focus on East Asian Studies and Communications; studied fashion design at Istituto Marangoni in London.
